Why People Centred Therapies Exists

Meaningful Support. Practical Change. Greater Independence.

We believe every person deserves the opportunity to live with dignity, pursue meaningful goals, and participate in the activities that matter to them.

People Centred Therapies provides individualised occupational therapy and specialist behaviour support focused on building functional skills, improving quality of life, and creating meaningful, lasting change.

Why We Exist

People Centred Therapies was founded on a simple belief: allied health services should make a genuine difference in people’s everyday lives.

Participants should feel heard, understood, and supported by clinicians who care about their goals and take the time to understand their circumstances.

We want the people we support to develop practical skills, increase their participation, exercise greater choice and agency, and work towards greater independence wherever this is achievable and meaningful to them.

Our purpose is not simply to provide more appointments, assessments, or reports. Our purpose is to provide services that make a meaningful difference.

How We Create Meaningful Change

What Makes PCT Different

People Centred Therapies was created in response to an allied health industry that can place service volume and demanding workloads ahead of service quality.

We take a different approach.

We believe participant outcomes and clinician wellbeing are directly connected. By supporting clinicians with sustainable workloads and the time to complete their work properly, we enable them to provide more thoughtful, reliable, and individualised services.

We do not measure success solely by the number of appointments completed or reports produced.

We measure success by whether our services help people build skills, participate more fully in everyday life, and work towards outcomes that are meaningful to them.
